Zinedine Zidane wants to sign four world-class players for Manchester United if he replaces Jose Mourinho as manager, British media report.
Mourinho is under increased pressure at United after failing to win a trophy last season and has already lost two Premier League games this term four games on.
Zidane, meanwhile, is currently out of work after resigning as Real Madrid boss at the end of May after guiding the club to three successive Champions League trophies.
And sources close to the Frenchman he has already started working on his list of transfer targets for United should he replace Mourinho.
Toni Kroos, who was a key part of Zidane’s Madrid side which won three consecutive Champions League trophies, is on the Frenchman’s shortlist.
Another player is Colombia playmaker James Rodriguez, who was also managed by Zidane at Madrid.
Zizou is also looking to bolster United’s midfield even further and would be keen for the club to sign Thiago Alcantara from Bayern, while Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani is said to be on his wishlist.
