The World Mourns Stan Lee, Creator of Spider-Man and Other Marvel Superheroes

Stan Lee – The world is in mourning.

In case you missed it, Stan Lee, the creator of Spider-Man and other Marvel superheroes, passed on last night at the age of 95.

Lee shaped the way we all see the world. He helped Marvel’s ascension into a comic book titan in the 1960s, and he also collaborated with artists such as Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko to create superheroes who would enthrall generations of young readers.

“He felt an obligation to his fans to keep creating,” his daughter J.C. Lee said in a statement to Reuters. “He loved his life and he loved what he did for a living. His family loved him and his fans loved him. He was irreplaceable.”

While she did not mention the circumstances of Lee’s death,  TMZ claimed an ambulance was called to Lee’s Hollywood Hills home early Monday and that he died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Now, the world is mourning him.
