The Winter Olympics held this year in Pyeongchang County, South Korea, has finally ended, and the closing ceremony–a two-hour long procession and events– has already begun.
Among the athletes who stepped out to wave the final goodbye as the Olympic flame was put off, were Nigeria’s Akuoma Omeoga, Seun Adigun, Ngozi Onwumere and Simidele Adeagbo, who entered the record books as the first Africans to feature in bobsleigh and skeleton events at the Winter Games. Though they did not bring home the medals, they put the country on the map and affirmed that they are serious contenders in the winter games. Fans can’t wait for them to return stronger and fiercer in the next games.
Now, they are waving South Korea goodbye, and they stepped out for the closing ceremony in stylish ankara attires inspired by the national flag, the looks complete with white gele.
