‘Who’s the Slave?’ – Twitter Users Drag South-West APC after Ganduje’s Aide describes Osinbajo as ‘VP Academics’

The internet has erupted in flames after the Special Adviser on New Media to Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, Salihu Tanko Yakasai, aka Dawisu, took aim at Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo (SAN).

Yakasai in a tweet via his handle @Daviwu on Tuesday had described Osinbajo as VP Academics.

He was responding to a tweet from another Twitter user asking if the leadership of the country had moved to New York in United State to attend the United Nations General Assembly.

His tweet has triggered an uproar from social media users as many Nigerians slammed him for ‘insulting the office of the vice president’.

Others also lambasted APC members of south-west extraction for keeping mum as Dawisu insults Osinbajo.

It will be recalled that while the 2019 Presidential election results were still being counted in February, Dawisu took to Twitter to lament the votes garnered by President Muhammadu Buhari in the Southwest, describing the votes as “lower-than-expected”.

He lambasted the Southwest zone of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for failing to deliver despite being the “biggest beneficiary of the Buhari government in terms of juicy appointments and projects.”

Reacting to Dawisu’s tweet, popular UK-based Nigerian lady and fierce critic of the APC, Adetutu Balogun, called out Dawisu, describing his tweet as irresponsible.

She tweeted:

“Is this guy not the PA to Ganduje? How can a handle of a PA to a sitting Governor tweet that “Vice President (Academics) is still around” meaning that @ProfOsinbajo is still around. Why do Nigeria have so many irresponsible people both young & old in the corridor of power!”
