Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice, has shot down the reports making rounds that she and the Spice Girls will be going on tour.
Recall that TMZ reported last week that the designer changed her mind about the reunion largely because she was tired to living in her husband, David Beckham’s shadow; she wants to step away from the sidelines and lead her own life.
“We’re told Victoria and David Beckham often do their own thing, and she’s bored with being on the sidelines,” the blog said, adding that “sources say Victoria wants to “individualize herself” … and ironically she’s doing that by rejoining her group, or as she’s put it, “her girls.”
Well, Posh Spice has dismissed the news.
Speaking with Vogue during her fall/winter 2018 collection show at New York Fashion Week over the weekend, she said, “I’m not going on tour. The girls aren’t going on tour.”
However, she added that the Spice Girls “were just bouncing ideas around. Brainstorming,” and adding more about the future of the group, she said, “It’s a positive thing. You know, there’s so much bad stuff going on, and the Spice Girls were about fun and celebrating individuality. I think there’s so much that the brand can do, and it’s such a positive message for young kids. What does that look like in the future? It’s not me in a catsuit.”
We can’t wait to see how it all pans out.
