Unathi Nkayi to Pay Homage to the Women of SA on the Anniversary of Her Tour

Idols SA judge and entrepreneur, Unathi Nkayi will again take to the stage this month when her Brave, True and Strong tour hits six cities across the country.

Kicking off in Johannesburg at the Nirox Sculpture Park on 28 September and ending in Port Elizabeth on 07 December, Unathi will perform songs from her most recent album, which is a celebration of women, their sacrifice and strength.

“The inaugural Brave, True and Strong tour was last year and being able to connect with so many women across all walks of life was so special to me. This year, the tour is a continuation of what has now become a love letter to the women of Mzansi: a love letter of hope, love and perseverance,” said Unathi.

The songstress recently had to revisit past pains and hurts when the details behind her divorce were addressed in the media and taking to the mic is how she wants women to know they can rise above it all.

“Too many times we get kicked down as women and it’s time we give credit to the queen within, the queen who rises time and time again no matter how tough things get,” expressed Unathi.

Unathi describes her album as a joyful and emotional reflection of her own personal life. She pays tribute to women around the country who have survived their own pain and continue to live their dreams fiercely. With songs like, Hello Sana, RUN and Nguwe, amongst many others, she encourages women to take control of their lives and tell their own story.

The musical tour anniversary is deemed to be a production like no other. Music fans can expect performances with a new twist and iconic moments that complete the ultimate intimate experience.

Joining Unathi on stage in Johannesburg will be music and comedy powerhouses, Brenda Mtambo and Celeste Ntuli.

Tickets for the tour are available for the Johannesburg show at nirox.howler.co.za  and they are available at Computicket for the rest of the tour. Tickets are R250.
