Days after Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson revealed he had yet to speak with Tyrese Gibson since their one-sided public feud, the actor-singer has spoken up and says he regrets stirring shit up in the first place.
“I have yet to talk to The Rock to this day, and we will have a conversation,” said Tyrese to Van Lathan on The Red Pill podcast (via TMZ), adding that he did have a conversation with Johnson’s producing partner, but not the actor himself.
And about their feud, he said, “I found myself being the messenger on behalf of various people associated to the franchise, but stupid me was the only one who went public about those feelings, which is my own fault. It’s not professional, it’s not cool.”
Recall that their beef started after Tyrese took to Instagram to rant following news that there is a “Fast and Furious” spinoff called “Hobbs and Shaw” which would be starring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham. This quickly triggered an intense one-sided fight between Tyrese Gibson and Johnson, with the singer-actor accusing the wrestler-actor of selling out.
The Rock never addressed Tyrese, never responded to the plethora of attack on Instagram. And during an interview on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, he revealed that he had yet to speak to Tyrese since the drama began. And asked if they would ever speak, he said, “To me, there’s no need to have a conversation.”
Well, Tyrese hopes they will talk one day. We don’t don’t know when that will happen.
