Two People Arrested in Connection to the 2016 Shooting at Meek Mill Concert

The Associated Press reports  that two men have been arrested in connection with the 2016 tragic shooting Meek Mill’s concert.

Recall that the shooting took place in a parking lot outside Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, the Philly rapper had just performed. Two men were fatally shot, while two more others got injured.

Now, suspects have been arrested and they are identified as Kyle Hampton and Tivon Edwards, both of whom are now facing four felonies each, including two charges each of first-degree manslaughter.

It is unclear how this all will pan out for Meek Mill, because in 2017, family of one victim filed a lawsuit against the rapper, the venue owners, and others, for allegedly skipping “necessary measures” to control the crowd and keep audience members safe.

However, the police already noted that they do not believe the shooting to be directly related to Meek Mill.
