It’s hardly been smooth sailing for the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) going into the weekend’s presidential poll and this was amply illustrated Monday when Bola Tinubu, a national leader of the party, threw away their flag during the presidential campaign rally in Abeokuta, Ogun state.
Things took a nasty turn as the crowd disrupted the rally, forcing security operatives to protect President Muhammadu Buhari from being pelted.
The national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, was booed and stoned while announcing Dapo Abiodun as the governorship candidate in the state.
Exasperated with the show of shame, Tinubu threw away the party’s symbol as the drama unfolded.

Meanwhile, the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has seized the opportunity to mock the APC, saying Nigerians were resolved to unseat the Buhari-led government during the poll.
