Amid the heat generated by the Osun governorship election, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole, may appeared to have admitted that the party rigged the poll as alleged.
In the bizarre video, Oshiomhole was discussing allegations in certain quarters that the process that saw Gboyega Isiaka Oyetola emerged the governor-elect of the state was rigged.
While denying the allegations levelled against the ruling APC, the former governor of Edo State had said,
“I think that for democracy to flourish, only people who can accept the pain of rigging (sorry defeat) should participate in an election.”

This comes after the Osun gubernatorial election which held last Saturday was declared inconclusive by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
INEC then fixed a rerun poll for Thursday in seven polling units – a process that was heavily criticised for irregularities as Gboyega Oyetola of the APC was returned the winner.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has meanwhile vowed to seek redress in court, slamming the rerun as a dark day for the country.
