‘The Poor Boy From the Slums of Port Harcourt’- Mr 2kay Speaks in New Documentary

Mr 2Kay is thankful.

The singer recently released a documentary in which he spoke about his personal experiences, from when he was a child living in the slums of Port Harcourt, to rising to the spotlight in the music industry.

“It’s not been easy a poor boy from the slums of Port Harcourt to be this huge in the music industry,” said the singer in the documentary, adding, “I’ve been turned down, gone through several hopeless circumstances but God has kept me elevated.”

Recall that only recently, Mr 2Kay was attacked by goons allegedly sent by Burna Boy after their social media scuffle. He was viciously beaten and robbed, but he is undeterred by all the challenges he had faced. He is just here to make music, he says in the documentary.

“I want to be the new age Rex Lawson with timelss music and not just following trends and can beat my chest to tell you that I’m serving you guys the best album of 2018,” he said.
