Neymar was supposed to take the world by storm at the World Cup, but he instead decided to showcase his play-acting skills.
Often referred to as the heir to Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, the Brazilian talisman came to the World Cup with loads of expectations following his world record £198 million transfer from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain.
While the Mundial ended rather prematurely for Neymar and Brazil as they were stopped in the last eight by Belgium, the forward’s theatrics have endured as he’s now the butt of all jokes.

Fans have taken to social media with memes of the PSG star’s penchant for diving and play-acting whenever he’s tackled.
In what is now termed the #NeymarChallenge, fans around the world take to social media re-enacting the attacker’s antics.
Some drop to the floor and tumble around in dramatic fashion as soon as someone either shouts the word ‘Neymar’, or they brush past someone with minimal contact – mimicking the Brazilian at the World Cup.
From parents, kids TV stations and even animals, here are some of the offerings on the #NeymarChallenge…
