Former Jigawa State governor and a presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Sule Lamido has accused President Muhammadu as being intolerant of opposition.
Lamido, in a statement in Bauchi when he visited the state PDP leadership and supporters to canvass support to get the party’s presidential ticket, said that the President also regards opposition as treason because of his military background.
According to him, when members of PDP defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) they are treated as saints and absolved from corruption charges while those who remain in the party were persecuted.
“When Atiku, Kwankwaso, Saraki and others left PDP for APC, they became saints. But now that they defected from it, they are tagged thieves, corrupt. But Amaechi, Akpabio and their likes who are now in APC have been forgiven. What a trick,” he said.
