Steve Harvey has recorded a major win against his ex-wife, Mary Shackelford, who filed a $60 Million lawsuit against him.
According to E! News, Mary claimed that her life had never been the same after their 2005 divorce, that she had been suicidal and had to resort to self-medication to be able to handle the horror of a highly publicised divorce battle.
In the document the media house obtained, Mary sued the comedian for “child endangerment, torture, conspiracy against rights, intentional infliction of emotional distress, breach of contract, soul murder”, among other things.
Soul murder was described as “a combination of torture, deprivation and brainwashing.”
The lawsuit, filed by her civil rights activists, and not a lawyer, continued, saying that Mary “had [lost] her son, had her businesses taken from her, nowhere to live, all Mother’s Days had been painful and empty.”
Well, the lawsuit has been dismissed, and neither Mary nor Steve has made a statement since the news surfaced.
The duo were married from 1996 to 2005.
