Serena Williams Surfaces on Social Media Since Wimbledon Final, Encourages All Moms

Serena Williams has some inspiring words for moms all over the world who supported her journey at the just-concluded Wimbedon.

Recall that Angelique Kerber beat Serena Williams for Grand Slam history with a stunning 6-3, 6-3 victory in Saturday’s final. And this makes Kerber the first German woman to win Wimbledon in 22 years. Plus, she avenged her defeat against Williams in the 2016 Wimbledon title match.

Reacting to her performance, Serena’s husband, Alexis Ohanian, opened up about their family fears just 10 months ago, when the champ was wheeled in for surgery following complication she suffered after the birth of their daughter, Alexis Olympia.

“We just wanted her to survive—10 months later, she’s in the #Wimbledon final,” the Reddit boss wrote on his social media. “@serenawilliams will be holding a trophy again soon—she’s got the greatest one waiting at home for her —and our family knows she’ll win many more trophies, too. She’s just getting started.”

Now, Serena is back on social media, thanking those who stood by her side, while also inspiring all moms out there. “These past 2 weeks was a sound for all moms stay home and working you can do it you really can! I’m not any better or diff than any of you all. Your support has ment so much to me. Let’s keep making noise everyday in everything we do.

And fans can’t wait for her return!
