Sadio Mane will wear the No.10 shirt for Liverpool for the 2018-19 season.
The Senegal striker has switched from his previous number, 19, which he has worn since joining the club from Southampton in 2016, ahead of the new season.
Mane, 26, now takes up the No.10 jersey vacated by Brazilian playmaker Philippe Coutinho upon his move to FC Barcelona in January.
The reds have said they will offer supporters who have purchased a 2018-19 replica shirt printed with ‘Mane 19’ a like-for-like exchange for a ‘Mane 10’ jersey
Other stars to wear the famous shirt down the years include John Barnes, Joe Cole, Luis Garcia, Michael Owen and Andriy Voronin during the Premier League era.
After completing the record £67 million switch for Brazil goalkeeper Allison Becker, Liverpool yesterday confirmed a 29-man squad for their pre-season tour of the United States.
