Ronaldo Calls on Madrid to Sign Neymar

Brazil great Ronaldo has urged his former club Real Madrid to sign compatriot Neymar from French giants Paris Saint-Germain.

Ronaldo says Los Blancos need the best players and Neymar, who completed a world-record €222million move from Barcelona to PSG last year, is arguably the best at the moment.

Neymar, who recently turned 26, continues to be linked with a shock switch to the Santiago Bernabeu and Ronaldo believes it will be a great move for both club and player, Goal writes.

“Neymar is a superb player, maybe he will be the best in the world in a few years, and Real Madrid need the best,” he said on Wednesday, via Marca .

The two-time World Cup winner says Madrid, who are fourth in La Liga and 19 points behind leaders Barcelona, should still not be written off in the Champions League despite their struggles so far.

“I haven’t heard any official representative of Real Madrid say anything about Neymar,” Ronaldo said.

“They should think about what they have and this year it’s difficult for Madrid, they have to keep going and end well.

“The Champions League is a competition that they do well in and we will see how it ends, because everything changes very quickly in football.”

Zinedine Zidane and his troops must overcome Neymar and PSG in a blockbuster last 16 tie set if they’re to retain their European Cup.

If the Brazil star wants to go to Madrid, he has his audition already.
