So boxing champ Floyd Mayweather now has a little sister.
According to TMZ, a recent DNA test showed that the former boxer’s 65-year-old father, Floyd Sr, fathered a child with a woman named Purisa Farris.
Floyd Jr., who has other five children, was in a paternity suit with Farris who had filed for child support earlier in the year. He was forced to take a DNA test in April, and the result showed that the probability of paternity is 99.99%.
This comes months after a warrant was issued for his arrest following claims that he assaulted a woman back in September. He allegedly had gotten into an argument with the woman at a boxing parking lot, and things escalated when he pulled her from a car and punched her in the leg when she refused to get out.
The woman was hospitalised after the incident, and Floyd Sr was handed a misdemeanor battery charge. However shortly after, his reps claimed that the was “trying to extort money and she’s angry because she’s not getting the money from Floyd. It’s not going the way she wants it to go.”
Now, a paternity test has confirmed that he is the father of Farris’ daughter, and we can’t wait to see how this pans out.
