Osinbajo Hits UK for Oxford Lecture

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Friday arrived in the United Kingdom for his scheduled lecture on Nigeria’s Investment Drive.

The Vice President arrived London before noon (local time), and was received by the Nigerians ambassador to the United Kingdom, Ambassador George Oguntade.

He was accompanied on the trip by his Chief of Staff, Adeola Ipaye and the National Economic Adviser, Adeyemi Dipeolu.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Vice-President on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande had earlier in a statement said Professor Osinbajo will be delivering a lecture on human capital development and Social Investment Programme at the invitation of Oxford University.

Akande further added that the Osinbajo will also inaugurate the International Advisory Board of Oxford University’s African Studies Centre, under the school of Global and Area Studies.

This comes as the vice-president on Thursday stated that Nigeria needs about $1tr to modernise its energy infrastructure.

According to him, Nigerian graduates must learn to multi-task if they are to be relevant in a rapidly-changing world.
