Offset is back home to his wife Cardi B and their daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus, and now he has taken to his Instagram to give special thanks to his lawyer Drew Findling who worked hard to secure his release.
Recall that yesterday, the rapper whose real name is Kiari Cephus was stopped by the Atlanta Police Airport Division for having illegally tinted windows, and when a search of the SUV was conducted by the officers, it was discovered that he was carrying at least one gun – a felony since he is a convicted felon on probation – and marijuana.
Offset was booked into Clayton County Jail and charged with two felonies –one, for possession of a weapon during a crime, and possession of a firearm by a felon; as well as misdemeanors for improper lane change and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
Media houses like Bossip reported that the rapper could be facing life in prison, and this is because “when he pled to “no contest” for “riot in a penal institution” back in 2015 as part of a deal with prosecutors, he effectively copped to his third felony, and under Georgia’s three strikes rule, his next conviction could land him in prison for the rest of his life.”
It is unclear how this recent felony case will go down, however the rapper is thanking his lawyer who worked things to get get him back to his family.
