Nicki Minaj, a smart businesswoman, has shown fans how to turn hatred into profit.
Yesterday, the rapper took to her Instagram to share the new merchandise she is selling on her website which was inspired by the accusations made against her by rival Cardi B, who claimed Nicki was “stopping her bag.”
In case you missed how that latest accusation began: after Cardi B attempted and failed to fight Nicki at the New York Fashion Week, she hurried off to her Instagram to claim that Nicki was talking ill about her parenting, adding that Nicki had threatened other artists who wanted to work with her.
“I’ve let a lot of shit slide! I let you sneak diss me, I let you lie on me, I let you attempt to stop my bags, fuck up the way I eat,” Cardi wrote. “You’ve threaten other artists in the industry, told them if they work with me you’ll stop fuckin with them!! I let you talk big shit about me!!”
Well, Nicki took to her radio to shut the accusations down: no, she did not insult Cardi’s parenting skill and surely did not attempt to stop the younger rapper’s bag.
But the internet already got divided after Cardi’s accusation, and Nicki, seeing how futile it is to convince people that the accusations were untruths, then decided to convert the hatred into money by making a merch out of it.
