England beat Croatia 2-1 at Wembley on Sunday to qualify for the inaugural final four of the European Nations League.
It was a measure of sweet revenge for the Three Lions who were defeated by the Croats in extra-time of this year’s World Cup semifinals.
Croatia – who edged Spain in thrilling fashion on Thursday – led through Andrej Kramaric’s 57th-minute and looked on course to win the group.
But England levelled through Jesse Lingaard with 12 minutes left to play, before captain Harry Kane broke his international drought with a goal in the 85th minute to make it 2-1.
