A mother hacked her teenage daughter to death with an axe while she was asleep because ‘they didn’t get along’.
Tatiana Degirmendzhy, 49, confessed to killing daughter Yulia, 18, at their home in the city of Chaykovsky in central Russia’s Perm Krai region.
Local police say Tatiana hit her several times with the axe before she died from blood loss following cuts to the carotid artery in her neck.
The killer mom then fled the scene and went to a railway station before jumping on the first train heading out of the city.
Yulia was discovered several hours later by her older brother Sertan, 22, who found her lying motionless on the bed in her room covered in blood with spatter all over the bed and walls.
After examining the body, Detectives say Tatiana had tried to dismember her daughter in the process.
Police searched the crime scene and discovered that Tatiana’s passport had disappeared and declared her wanted, which led to her arrest 24 hours later as she tried to board a train in the city of Izhevsk – located 36 miles away from Chaykovsky.
During interrogation, the mother reportedly told the cops: “If I had had seven daughters like her [Yulia], I would have killed them all.”
