Morgan Freeman has issued a statement hours after the CNN report in which eight women accused him of sexual harassment and inappropriate remarks.
In the statement obtained by Variety, the 80-year-old actor said he never intended to make the women feel “uneasy”, saying, “Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows I am not someone who would intentionally offend or knowingly make anyone feel uneasy. I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected — that was never my intent.”
Recall that a total of 16 people spoke to CNN about Freeman, and eight of them claim he sexually assaulted them, was inappropriate towards them, while the other eight said they witnessed the alleged misconduct.
And with this months-long ivvestigation coming to light, it is unclear if the women will be filing charges against the actor.
