Mikel trolled for Posting Fake Quote on Instagram

Former Super Eagles midfielder, John Obi Mikel, is being dragged on social media for posting a fake quote about him on Instagram.

The former Eagles skipper posted a quote credited to Portuguese and Wolverhampton Wanderers’ midfielder, Ruben Neves which read:

“At Porto all midfielders were given DVDs of Mikel to take home and study every day.

“We used to call him the ‘professor of football.”

Mikel, who believed Neves actually made the comment about him, posted the graphic on his verified IG page @mikel_john_obi on Friday morning and captioned:

“I am honoured.”

Well, fans have taken to the comment section of the post and other social media platform to troll Mikel over the post.

Many wondered how he could have fallen for the hoax, stressing the pedigree of a club like FC Porto while reminding him of his rather shy persona during his top days at Chelsea.
