Manchester City have agreed a £60million deal with Leicester for long-term target Riyad Mahrez, with the playmaker set to undergo a medical at the club in the next 48 hours.
The Premier League champions saw a deal for the Algerian collapse in January, but he now looks to be heading for the Etihad Stadium barring any last minute changes.
Mahrez, 27, has yet to return for pre-season training with Leicester after being granted extra leave, and he may never reunite with his Foxes team-mates following the deal.
City boss Pep Guardiola is a long-term admirer of Mahrez, and will have been impressed with his dedication in the second half of the season at Leicester despite coming close to an exit in the January window.
Following the switch, the skilful winger will join an all-star cast in jostling for places in the City attack.
