While fans are still waiting for an update on when the follow-up to Mad Max: Fury Road will arrive, the director George Miller has noted that he is not thinking about a sequel yet, instead is looking at making a movie about a genie.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Oscar-nominated filmmaker is shopping around Three Thousand Years of Longing, also known as Djinn. And the only detail known is that it is an epic romance which involves a genie.
This comes as a surprise to Miller’s fans because the unpredictable director is known for his high-fevered productions, from the 1979’s Mad Max to Mad Max 2, The Road Warrior and Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.
His other productions credits include Babe, the two Happy Feet films about dancing and singing penguins, and now the 73-year-old is looking to make an epic before another Mad Max, and fans can’t wait to see how this pans out.
