Lamar Odom Speaks About 2015 Coma: ‘I Had 12 Strokes and 6 Heart Attacks’

Lamar Odom has shared new details of what he experience in 2015 after he was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel in 2015.

The former NBA star spoke about this during a sit-down with Kevin Hart for his Cold As Balls show this week. Odom feels he is lucky to be alive.

“All my doctors that see me say I’m a walking miracle,” he told Hart, adding, “I had twelve strokes and six heart attacks when I was in the coma.”

The former basketballer had said, during a 2016 interview with The Doctors, that he “couldn’t even speak at the time,” after the Nevada incident. “I couldn’t talk. Nothing would come out when I would open my mouth, so I was scared,” he said.

Cocaine and opiates were found in Odom’s system following the coma and so he checked himself into rehab and has since been now sober.

Now, he is working to release a book about his life. “I think my book will let anybody know that they can overcome anything—anybody dealing with addiction or any types of problems they’re going through,” he told Kevin Hart.
