Lagos Police Arrested This Top Stylist Because He Looked Too ‘Feminine’

Idowu Oluwatosin Olakunle has told a disturbing story of how he got arrested by the officers of the Lagos State Police for looking too ‘feminine’.

Posting on his Instagram, the hairstylist narrated how the sad drama all started, that he was on his way to Ogudu when a police police flagged his bus down and began to interrogate him, questioning his weight, why he looked too feminine, and even accused him of being a homosexual.

“I asked what my offence was, they said I look like GAY, INDECENT ACT and I’m too SLIM that I’m a witch,” he wrote, adding, “I was locked up from 9am – 4pm before they release me I was told to pay a sum of 5,000 naira. Please since when did been slim become an offence in LAGOS.”

Tosin now seeks for justice, and this comes amid the campaign against police brutality.

I was locked up from 9am – 4pm before they release me I was told to pay a sum of 5,000 naira. Please since when did been slim become an offence in LAGOS. I was unjustly maltreated today by the POLICE and I demand justice.”
