The Department of State Security (DSS) has announced that it will review all cases of unlawful detentions and human right abuses.
This was the position of the Acting Director General of the agency, Mr. Matthew Seiyefa during his maiden press conference Thursday.
Seiyefa, who took over the reins from the disgraced Lawal Daura Tuesday after the ill-fated siege on the National Assembly complex, said the protection of national interest will be top of the agency’s agenda henceforth.
He also assured that the DSS will collaborate with all other agencies to ensure security in the country, while vowing to remain politically neutral.
