‘Just Born Pikin. This Marriage Thing No Dey Work’ – Timaya Advises Phyno

Timaya has taken his advocacy for single parenthood to a new level by advising his colleagues to stay away from the marriage institution.

Phyno live-streamed his fun moment with Timaya and Paul Okoye, during which the Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa advised the rapper to tow his footstep.

“Just born pikin, the pikin go grow,” said Timaya who shares three children with two different women, adding, “This marriage thing no dey work.”

See the clip below.

This comes one month after Timaya insisted, during a Punch interview, that a man doesn’t need to be a husband to the mother of his children before he can perform his duties as a father.

“People fail to understand that a lot of baby daddies are better fathers than a lot of husbands. The kind of role I play in my children’s life, I don’t think some husbands do that,” said the singer who recently welcomed a son with his partner Tamar.

He continued, “I have time for my children, I love my children but some married men don’t even have time for their kids. They don’t show their kids love, they don’t know what it means to be a father. It doesn’t have anything to do with money; it’s about love and attention.”

And now he has taken his gospel to Phyno. Will the rapper accept this way of living?

We wait!
