6ix9ine has been threatened with jail time if he misses court appearances again.
According to the Page Six, the controversial rapper missed another court date Wednesday (Oct. 10), prompting a Brooklyn judge to pace hi behind bars if he continues to be a no-show. “Counselor, if your client is not here on Tuesday, [there’ll be] a bench warrant,” Judge Edwin Novillo reportedy told 6ix9ine’s legal team.
Apparently, the FEFE rapper has now missed two court hearings for a case in which he is accused of assaulting a police officer way back in May, an accusation he had addressed in a since-deleted Instagram post.
“For all them stories [out there], n****s didn’t touch the police, man. Them n****s is fuckin’ corrupt. Them n****s beat the shit out of me, you know what I’m sayin’?” he said.
Page Six adds that 6ix9ine’s lawyers have been making excuses for their client’s missed court dates, citing his robbery and kidnapping over this summer, as well as his busy schedule.
“The defendant was in Dubai, was in the Netherlands, and is trying to come back today,” 6ix9ine’s lawyer told the judge, before blaming flight delays.
Will the rapper show up next time? We wait!
