Forbes has published the list of the highest-paid hip-hop artistes of the past year which shows that most of the funds were earned from endorsements and world tours.
JAY-Z came in on top with $76.5 million, which is thanks to his 4:44 tour in 2017 and the off his joint On The Run II tour with his wife, Beyonce. The couple also released their Everything Is Love album in June.
Diddy followed behind Jay with $64 million, and it is thanks to some of the beverage endorsements he got, plus his successful Ciroc vodka, DeLeon tequila and Aquahydrate alkaline water.
The third on the list is Kendrick Lamar, who raked in $58 million. Forbes reports that the numbers, calculated from June 2017 to June 2018, include “annual income from touring, record sales, streaming, publishing, merchandise sales, endorsements and other business ventures. Management, agent and attorney fees are not deducted.”
And there are many more others on the list, sadly all males.
