Lil Nas X ‘s controversial single, Montero (Call Me by Your Name) is the number one song on the Billboard 100 chart at the moment.
The singer took to his social media to celebrate this feat recalling the journey that got him to this point.
Lil Nas X revealed that after the success of ‘Old Town Road’, many people felt he was done and couldn’t beat that record again.
He disclosed while trying not to offend sensibilities with the kind of material he put out, he remained stifled creatively.
However in June 2020, Montero came to him and he knew he just hit a gold mine.
