Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho recently told Paul Pogba ‘I’m the boss’ following a furious training-ground bust-up between the pair.
Mou, 54, reportedly asked Pogba to “have a look at the sign on the door on the way out” — after heated talks in his Carrington office as their relationship continues to deteriorate.
According to The Sun, Pogba had complained to the Portuguese tactician about issues relating to tactics and his wellbeing at the club, but the manager would not be dictated to, and he ended the meeting by telling the club’s £89million record signing to look at the sign saying “manager” on his door as he made his way out.
The France midfielder has been subbed twice and missing from the starting line-up three times in the last five games.
He was also left out for United’s goalless draw away to Sevilla on Wednesday after claiming to be ill in last Saturday’s 2-0 FA Cup win at Huddersfield.
The former Juventus midfielder believes he is being made a scapegoat for the team’s recent poor form and is also unhappy at being called out in training in front of the other players.
Meanwhile, Pogba’s camp are already looking at other options in case the situation between player and manager deteriorates.
Spanish giants Real Madrid are said to be interested in bringing the Frenchman to the Santiago Bernabeu.
