Iggy Azalea’s Tour Cancelled Due to “Unforeseen Circumstances”

Shortly after rapper CupcakKe took to Twitter to announce that she would no longer be opening for Iggy Azalea on the “Bad Girls” tour, the Australian rapper has now announced that the tour is canceled.

Live Nation representatives confirmed the news to Pitchfork, saying in a statement that the tour was scrapped “due to unforeseen circumstances.” Refunds are being offered to fans, while Iggy has taken to her social media to assure hurt fans about how she would have loved it if things worked out as planned.

“Believe me—i was really excited for this tour…and im genuinely disappointed it cant happen this year,” Azalea wrote on Twitter. “The choice was out of my hands and not my call to make.”

CupcakKe had initially revealed that she was off the tour due to a “change of plans.” Yesterday, she got more specific. “Listen y’all, I went from getting paid 330k on this tour to 30k, that’s what I mean by ‘change plans,’” she wrote. She also clarified that it wasn’t Azalea’s fault—just “the ones that put it together.”
