Idris Elba has responded to the backlash he got after tweeting his Juneteenth t-shirt.
In case you missed it, the actor wore a T-shirt that read, “Take my art, culture, fashion, life, music, science,” but only the word “life” is crossed out. Many people felt that was totally tone-deaf, especially since it was saying that it’s alright for the black community to be deprived of rights, as long as their lives aren’t in danger.

And Idris realised that the post was in poor taste, because he deleted his post and followed it up with a new photo of a plain black T-shirt with the word “Deleted” edited onto it.
