Rihanna’s fans have refused to let her know peace and now she has taken to her Instagram to share her concerns.
“I feel attacked,” said the singer-entrepreneur in a hilarious Instagram post which shows her dodging enthusiastic fans. Adding that she is a “valley girl who’s never been attacked voice.”
This has stirred heartwarming reactions from her fans who are now flooding her comment section, demanding for new music. Yes, they are super glad that she is breaking records in the fashion world, but it is time to go back into the studio and cook some music.
Only in July, Rolling Stone revealed that the singer’s team and her label Roc Nation have been going through some “500 records” searching for a new full-on dancehall album. The report cited anonymous producers and other sources close to the team who have said that many dancehall and reggae icons have been submitting their tracks over the past year and a half for Rihanna’s team to choose from.
And some of the writers and producers working on this 10-track album project include Supa Dups (Drake, Nicki Minaj), R. City (Beyoncé, Simple Plan), Tyshane “Beam” Thompson (Yo Gotti), Skrillex, Boi-1da, and Kranium.
“If the Rihanna album sells great numbers, faith will be restored in the [dancehall] genre as something to be invested in,” one source, an unnamed producer, said.
Another source added that there are secret “writing camps” in Miami and Los Angeles. “[Rihanna’s team] have, no lie, 500 records for this project [from] different producers and writers,” the source claimed. “They’re only choosing 10 records.”
We can’t wait to see what they have for fans!
