Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State has picked up his second term nomination form as he seeks re-election into office.
The governor picked up the form on Monday at the All Progressives Congress (APC) secretariat in Abuja.
He was received by the party’s National Legal Adviser, Babatunde Ogala and the National Organising Secretary, Emma Ibediro at the party’s secretariat.
This comes as amid reports that the governor was on the cusp of a shock defection to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He however denied the rumours, saying he wouldn’t have embarked on the trip to China with President Muhammadu Buhari.
The form will cost the governor N22 million, following the timetable for the APC primaries released last week.
