Gigi Lamayne has finally spoken up after news surfaced that she attempted to take her own life.
According to Timeslive, the South African rapper sent social media on a meltdown on Saturday after she tweeted her birth date and supposed death date: “7 July 1994 – 3 November 2018,” she wrote.
The rapper, who has been open about her struggles with depression, further added: “The end.”
Shortly after, her colleague, rapper Rashid Kay, confirmed she was recovering in hospital.

And yesterday, Gigi surfaced on her social media again to let fans know that she’s determined to win the fight against depression.
“Awake. Wasn’t time huh,” wrote Gigi, adding, “We are all human and under pain and pressure, we crack. The therapy I’m getting has Made it all better. I’m starting to see. I was hurt way before I was hurt.”
