G-Eazy Breaks Silence After Pleading Guilty to Drug & Assault Charges: ”I Am Embarrassed’

Days after he was arrested and convicted of assault, drug possession and resisting arrest in Sweden, rapper G-Eazy has broken silence and has apologised for his actions.

In case you missed it: last week, G-Eazy performed at a show in Stockholm and later attended a nearby club to party with some of his friends. It was during his club appearance that he allegedly became “belligerent,” prompting security to intervene. And when the security guards tried to calm he down, sources present at the venue claimed he began to “throw punches” at the guards, leading to his arrest.

The sources went forward to claim that the rapper is being charged on “on suspicion of assault, possession of narcotics and use of narcotics.” And from the video obtained by TMZ, Eazy is seen being escorted out of the venue in cuffs by police officers.

On Friday, the rapper whose real name is Gerald Gillum avoided jail time but was sentenced to two years probation and ordered to pay 80,000 krona (around $9,000) for his crimes, and a restitution of 6,500 krona (about $810) restitution to the security guard he allegedly assaulted, reports People.

Now, Gerald has taken to his Facebook to apologise to his fan, plus he is “grateful & blessed to be free & safe.”

“Happy to be in Copenhagen tonight doing what I love most. Embarrassed & apologetic beyond words about the incident,” writes the rapper who is now in Denmark for another performance, adding, “but above all I’m so f-cking grateful they let me go, craziest experience of my life, awful night with a lot of bad luck and some even worse decisions but like I said I’m grateful as f-ck to be a free man, back on tour performing for the fans.”

He continued, “Thank you to everyone who’s held me down along the way and supported this journey, I appreciate you more than you’ll ever know. Love.”
