Tragedy befell Nigerian football Monday with news that Ajuma Otache, a former Super Falcons midfielder, has died.
This was confirmed in a tweet on the verified Twitter handle of the National Football Federation, @thenff, saying Otache died on Saturday. She was aged 33.
The Glass House expressed sadness at the news of her death and sympathised with her young family.
Otache won the 2014 African Women Cup of Nations with the Super Falcons.
