Eminem wants you all to know that Machine Gun Kelly’s comment 2012 about his daughter Hailie was not the reason why he dissed the younger rapper in his surprise album, Kamikaze.
Recall that in the new album, the legendary rapper took swipe at his colleagues, all those who had nasty things to say about his Revival album, and even folks like Machine Gun Kelly who had mouthed unkind things to say about Em’s daughter, Hailie.
Days after Kamikaze dropped, Kelly dropped his own diss track title Rap Devil, in which he took swipe at Em’s late catalog, accused Em of attempting to ruin his career, and mocked Em’s last four albums.
Many people believed that their diss started with what MGK said about Hailie years ago, but Em has shut that all down in his new chat with Sway Calloway, where he said that the reason for the beef is pettier than what we all thought.
“You know you go down the wormhole of YouTube and whatever, right?” Eminem said. “So I see, ‘Machine Gun Kelly talks about Eminem’s daughter’ or whatever, right? So I’m like, ‘What the fuck?’ I clicked on it. Then he starts doing a press run, basically, about Hailie. I’m like, ‘What the fuck? Yo, my man better chill.’ So, that’s not why I dissed him. The reason I dissed him is actually a lot more petty than that. Now I’m in this fuckin’ weird thing, because I’m like, ‘I’ve got to answer this motherfucker.'”
He will tell us what happened between him and MGK in the Part 2 of his interview with Sway.
