Ellen DeGeneres made her fans cry on her birthday.
Today, during the new episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the famous host gifted her fans $1 million as thanks to them “for completing one million acts of good.”
According to E! News, DeGeneres said she partnered with cereal brand Cheerios “to help spread kindness and achieve one million acts of goodwill.” Her show attendees all performed the act of goodwill. Some of them include Kenya Huges and John Hughes who both used their own money to drive a U-Haul 800 miles and deliver to people affected by Hurricane Harvey. Another person was a teacher, Lori Gaines, who donated her kidney to a mother of one of her students, and Dan McKernan quit his job to a open sanctuary for farm animals.
The show host first gave them a box of Cheerios, then she said, “It’s the biggest gift I’ve ever given anybody ever. And I hope you continue to pay it forward and share all the good.”
