So, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has taken to their Twitter to troll Ayo Fayose.
Drama started not longer after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Dr Kayode Fayemi, the winner of the Ekiti State governorship election.
“The parri is over; the cloak of immunity torn apart, and the staff broken,” wrote the official handle of the EFCC, adding, “#Ekiti Integrated Poultry Project/Biological Concepts Limited N1.3bn fraud case file dusted off the shelves. See you soon.”
This quickly stirred heated reactions on social media, with many Nigerians sharing their displeasure with the EFCC. “That’s the official handle of the EFCC? Nigeria is gone,” tweeted @dondekojo. And another, @ @MrSipoga, added, “The EFCC is to opposition politicians what SARS is to ordinary Nigerians.”
Seeing the outrage the tweet had stirred, Agency quickly deleted the “offensive” tweet. However, it didn’t stop people from airing their disappointment.
Check out the exchange below.
This case has been on since 2005, but became a pending case due to the immunity. There's nothing new here. #NoWitchHunt
