Drake has a heart of gold.
On Tuesday, the Young Money rapper stopped by a supermarket in Miami and told the shoppers via a megaphone that he would be paying for everything they buy. And then he went ahead to drop $50,000 with the cashier.
This stirred immediate frenzy and excited fans took selfies with him and posted to their social media pages. “No one knew he was coming at all, we just came to do groceries. Cameras were being set up so we were all wondering what was to happen,” Guille Deza, one of the shoppers, told People.
Another fan on Instagram added, “A real king when out and paid for everyone’s groceries in the store, all the while encouraging people to buy more lol. BE GOOD AND IT’LL COME RIGHT BACK AROUND!!! 👏 so much love and bless this man 100 times over for all his generosity.”
This heartwarming update comes a day after the 31-year-old Canadian rapper donated $25,000 to a high school in Miami where he reportedly shot the video for his latest song, God’s Plan. The rapper also gifted a lucky University of Miami student a $50,000 scholarship.
