Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has condemned the replacement of the Economic Management Team (EMT) led by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo with the new Economic Advisory Council (EAC).
The presidency, in a statement, Monday, said the EAC will have monthly technical sessions as well as scheduled quarterly meetings with the President.
In a raft of changes, Buhari, on Tuesday, also dissolved the Special Presidential Investigation Panel for the Recovery of Public Property (SPIP) constituted by Osinbajo with Mr Okoi Obono-Obla as Chairman.
Reacting, Fani-Kayode, said Buhari has treated the vice-president with disdain and contempt.
He however blamed Osinbajo for his “cowardly and quisling disposition and his penchant to defend the indefensible”.
He wrote on Twitter: “Despite his constant fawning on Buhari, his cowardly and quisling disposition and his penchant to defend the indefensible, Osinbajo seems to have been relegated and treated with disdain and contempt by the object of his praise and the recipient of his worship.
“First he is thrown off the Economic Team, then some parastatals are removed from his supervision and finally he is told that he must get presidential approval for any expenses he seeks to incur.
“This is what happens when you hold yourself out cheaply to those who despise you.”
