Complete Premier League Transfer Deadline-Day Moves

After an initial sluggishness in the transfer market for English clubs, there was a flurry of activities on deadline day, bringing the spending up to a staggering £1.4bn.

Nigeria’s Alex Iwobi completed a surprise switch to Everton, while Romelu Lukaku’s long-awaited move to Inter Milan was sealed.

Iwobi joins Everton from Arsenal

Nigeria forward Alex Iwobi has joined Everton from Arsenal on a five-year deal until June 2024, the clubs said.

Arsenal bring in David Luiz from Chelsea

Arsenal have signed Brazilian centre back David Luiz from London rivals Chelsea, the Premier League clubs said.

Praet Joins Leicester from Sampdoria

Leicester City have signed Belgian midfielder Dennis Praet on a five-year deal from Sampdoria, with the transfer fee reported by British media to be around £18 million.

Burnley have signed midfielder Danny Drinkwater on loan from Chelsea in a deal through to January 6.

Andy Carroll Rejoins Newcastle

England striker Andy Carroll, who was released by West Ham United at the end of last season, has rejoined boyhood side Newcastle United on an initial one-year deal.

Carroll, 30, spent five seasons at Newcastle before switching to Liverpool in 2011 for £35 million.

“I know it’s home. I’ve played here, I’ve spoken to the fans – I am a fan – and my family is here. For me to get back to where I was, I think this is the only place for me,” Carroll said in a statement.

Celtic’s Tierney Joins Arsenal

Arsenal have signed Celtic defender Kieran Tierney on a long-term deal, the north London club said.

Celtic added that Arsenal had paid 25 million pounds for the Scotland international left back.

Arsenal’s 20-year-old striker Eddie Nketiah joined Championship side Leeds United on a season-long loan.

Inter Milan Sign Lukaku from Man United

Belgium international striker Romelu Lukaku has completed his move to Inter Milan from Manchester United, the Italian Serie A club confirmed on their website.

Sarr joins Watford in Record Deal

Watford have signed Senegal forward Ismaila Sarr from French Ligue 1 club Stade Rennes on a five-year deal for a club-record fee, they announced.

West Ham sign Ajeti from Basel

West Ham United have signed Swiss international striker Albian Ajeti from FC Basle for what British media said was a fee of around eight million pounds.
