Comedian Katt Williams Arrested in Portland for Allegedly Assaulting a Driver

Katt Williams was arrested in Portland, Oregon, where he was scheduled for a live performance, Newsweek is reporting.

According to the network, Williams allegedly got into a fight with the driver of a town car from the Portland International Airport over his dog. The comedian was said to have assaulted the driver before he left in another vehicle. He was eventually arrested on Saturday morning on suspicion of fourth-degree assault.

Speaking with the press, Police said the victim suffered minor injuries to his face, including swelling and cuts requiring treatment at a local hospital.

For Williams, he was held at Multnomah County Jail where he was booked for misdemeanor assault, with bail set at $2,500.

It was unclear if he had been released as at press time.
