Cardi B got a lot of threat messages after she seemingly dissed a Los Angeles gang called the Crips, who are known for their signature colour, blue.
Drama started when the Bodak Yellow rapper went on Instagram to post a photo of herself rocking a blue fur jacket, and she added a shady caption that said, “I hate wearing Flue but this coat was too poppin.”
The word “flue” apparently is a way to diss the Crips favourite colour without using the actual word.
Cardi, herself, had often announced that she belongs to a gang called the Blood.
And so, when she dissed the Crips, the members hopped on her post, threatening and warning her never to set foot in L.A. She is scheduled to visit the city in 10 days for the NBA All-Star festivities.
“@iamcardib this will not be accepted #DONTCOMETOLA,” said one gang member. Another said, “Now why you go and do this f**k s**t Cardi. This is literally WestCoast Suicide …. bitch betta get #neutral.”
Seeing all the threats she was getting, the rapper turned off commenting on the post. She had yet to address the controversy as at press time.
